UPLIFT HUMAN DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (UHDF) is a Non Governmental Organization that deals with the moral education of children from the infancy to adolescent stages, improvement of formal education which focuses on the hard skills learned from the knowledge on students and soft skills which are non technical skills that describe how one works with others, and bringing focus to reproductive health of adolescents.
UHDF works with professionals from various fields, other organizations, companies, government institutions, members of local communities and other relevant stake holders on human development strategies. It does so through implementing effective projects and programs. As well as organizing events, conferences and workshops.
UHDF deals with the smallest unit of a community; which is the family. Considered essential building blocks of the society, families play a crucial role in social development. Families carry the primary responsibility for the education and socialization of children. Instilling positive morals and principals in children ensures they grow up to become responsible members of the society. This ultimately supports the growth of responsible communities and development in various sectors of the community in question. Currently in Tanzania and across the globe, there are numerous heinous events taking place such as child abuse, early marriages, and increase of immorality and overall rise of environments that do not support the healthy growth of children.
By cooperating with the government, institutions, parents, guardians and professionals in various fields such as; teachers, psychologists, doctors, social welfare workers and many alike UHDF can create suitable environments where children can be raised in positive and healthy surroundings. This will grant them self-awareness, a sense of confidence and individuality together with good morals and principles. This will help ground them and guide them in their adolescence period, a time where plenty of confusion and rebellion may arise. Children are considered to be part of the special category or group of people in the society. This means they require special care.
